She also enjoys playing music in the schools. A multi-instrumentalist with a fondness for collecting instruments, Anne sings, plays the guitar, piano, flute, accordion, and bodhran.

Anne earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from the University of Creation Spirituality, a BA in Womens Studies and a teaching credential at UC Santa Cruz. She has been involved in activist and Pagan circles in the San Francisco Bay Area for 20 years, and has taught classes, intensives and workshops on spirituality with Reclaiming in the US, Canada, and England. She is also a skilled facilitator, and has led workshops on consensus process and group dynamics.

Along with Starhawk and Diane Baker, Anne co-authored the bestselling Circle Round: Raising Children in Goddess Traditions (Bantam, 1998), which also included a number of her original songs and chants. "Circle Round and Sing!" is Anne's newest album, a compilation of much of the music she and others have written for Circle Round. This album marks her third effort in the simultaneous roles of composer, arranger, performer, and producer.

Anne's poetry, essays and music have been published in several anthologies, including The Encyclopedia of Religion and Nature (Continuum, 2005), The Pagan Book of Living and Dying (Harper SanFrancisco, 1997), and Cyborg Babies: From Techno-Sex to Techno-Tots (Routledge, 1998), as well as periodicals such as Mothering, DreamTime and New Age Journal. An interview with Anne is featured in the book Modern Pagans. Anne is currently at work on a book on spirituality and leadership.

In 1992 Anne founded Serpentine Music Productions, an independent music label. Serpentine Music is a leader in preserving the history of contemporary Paganism through its music, and Anne has been widely sought after for her knowledge of the subject.
